In the short term, the sentiment of buying at low prices still exists, with strong support at low levels. With the gradual reduction of rainfall, consumption is expected to experience a slow rebound.

Hot rolled coils: On August 25th, the average price of 4.75mm hot rolled coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3474 yuan/ton, an increase of 16 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. Traders generally feedback that the acceptance of high priced resources by terminals is limited, and procurement is still mainly based on demand. From the supply side, long process steel mills have stated that their production plans for September are basically fully booked, and sales pressure is not significant; Short process enterprises have provided feedback that as the price difference widens, downstream ordering enthusiasm has increased and the number of locked orders has increased.

Medium thick plate: On August 25th, the average price of 20mm ordinary plate in 24 major cities across the country was 3558 yuan/ton, an increase of 12 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. At present, most medium plate factories have limited production of manganese resources, with priority given to the delivery of variety steel and fixed rolling resources. Discounts on circulating materials in the market are frequent, resulting in low market inventory and a relatively stable mentality among traders.
